I haven’t managed to write as much as I would have liked over the last few weeks. However my training has been going well. I did my half Marathon last weekend in a time of 2hrs 1min which I thought was quite good. I felt good for most of the run. But I must admit I got a little bored in miles 11 and 12, mainly because the route kept going up and down like a roller coaster. By the end of it I had bleeding nipples and blisters on each foot so it was a good way to see what I need to change for the big one. I think its time for some new trainers!
I received my runner number yesterday and it is all starting to hit home about what I am doing. I’m getting a little nervous now. I am going to be starting at the red start along with many others and have a friend or two to try and meet up with.  I have started to think a bit more about my diet and am eating more carbs and protein. I have felt already that this is making a difference to my stamina and I feel able to work a bit harder.
Well I am going away for a few days this week so will get some good miles in on the coastal paths down in Cornwall. Â Thank you for all your support so far and I really appreciate every little bit.
