The FBU backed show Pits and Perverts will be on stage in London and Belfast this October, returning after a successful run last year.
Set in 1984 at the height of the miners’ strike, Pits and Perverts tells the uplifting story of the Lesbian and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) group and their tireless support for miners and their families in South Wales.
Matt Wrack, FBU general secretary, said: “It is an honour for the FBU to support a production recalling such an important struggle in modern trade union history as we remember the 30th anniversary of the miners strike.
“The hardship faced by mining communities and by the LGBT community under the Thatcher government needs to be remembered at a time where we face another assault on working people and public services.â€
Pits and Perverts will be at the RADA Studio Theatre, 16 Chenies Street, London WC1E 7EX from 1 – 3 October.
