This October will mark the twentieth Black & Ethnic Minority Members school held by the Fire Brigades Union at Wortley Hall.
National secretary of B&EMM Michael Nicholas says this year’s school will mark the achievements that black and ethnic minorities have made in the fire and rescue service, as well as in British society, over the past 20 years.
He said: “B&EMM was organised to ensure that our voices were heard in the UK fire and rescue service and within our union. This school will be a great platform for discussing and learning about those experiences, and to organise B&EMM campaigning going forward.â€
The school takes place 9 – 11 October 2015 at Wortley Hall. Applications, that have to be returned by 14 August 2015, are available here.
