What TUCG Kill the Bill rally
Where Parliament Square, Westminster
When 6pm, Monday 2 November 2015
After the 2 November protest against the Trade Union Bill in Parliament the Trade Union Coordinating Group (TUCG) – a group of nine trade unions including the Fire Brigades Union – will be holding an after work Kill the Bill rally in Parliament Square.
The Trade Union Bill is a fundamental attack on the right to organise against attacks on working people in the face of ongoing austerity. The Bill is an assault on one of the most basic civil liberties, the right to withdraw Labour. Trade unionists must resist this draconian legilsaiton.
Matt Wrack, FBU general secretary, will be speaking alongside the general secretaries of the National Union of Teachers (NUT) and Prison Officers Association (POA) Christine Blower and Steve Gillan respectively. Members of Parliament Jo Stevens and Lisa Cameron will also be speaking alongside Leader of the Green Party Natalie Bennett.
