RAMSBOTTOM Community Fire Station became an unlikely photo studio this week when a local celebrity fashion designer shot pictures for his new clothing range.

Thirty-one-year-old Henry Holland was joined by a male model and crew for the photo shoot on Monday, March 16.
It was part of the promotion for his new clothing campaign, which is set to launch in the summer, and focuses on Henry’s hometown of Ramsbottom.
The designer chose the fire station in Stubbins Lane as one of the locations to shoot his quirky photos, which also featured Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service’s (GMFRS) bright new fire kit.
Henry said: “Having grown up in Ramsbottom I wanted to go back to my hometown to shoot the photos for my new collection at well-known, traditional locations and the fire station was a perfect choice.
“It was really nice to meet the firefighters and the community staff, and to see the station being used by the local community.
“Thanks so much to Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service for allowing us to do the shoot at the station – and especially to the firefighters who took part in the shoot.â€
Henry and the team met some of the watch and members of Bury’s community safety team, including Community Safety Advisor (CSA) Bethany Pearson and Apprentice CSA Ruby Abbott – who both started their fire service journeys as cadets at Ramsbottom.
Firefighter Andy Roberts and Retained Firefighter Ben Kirkham were also thrust into the limelight as they donned GMFRS’ new fire kit to take part in the shoot.
Henry added: “While I was there I met Bethany and Ruby and after hearing about GMFRS’ Community Fire Cadets scheme we decided to make a donation to the cadets as a token of thanks.â€
The cadets are travelling to Poland in July to take part in the 20th International Youth Fire Fighters Gathering, which is run by the International Association of Fire and Rescue Services.
Chair of the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Authority, Councillor David Acton, said: “It’s great to see our fire stations being used for such a variety of activities and we’re really pleased that Henry chose Ramsbottom Community Fire Station as one of their locations.
“Our fire stations are at the heart of the community – they offer opportunities for groups to use the facilities for meetings as well as being a location for young people to take part in successful youth schemes such as the cadets.â€Â
