One of the best ways to enjoy bonfire night and stay safe is to  go to an organised fireworks display, If you do have fireworks at home, make sure you do so safely  following the firework code.
Organised displays are bigger, better, cheaper and far safer than holding your own fireworks party, but with November  5th falling on a Saturday this year it is  likely that many people will celebrate bonfire night at home with family and friends; if you do intend to have fireworks at home make sure you follow the safety precautions provided and make sure you stay safe.
The links below provide some great advice on how to keep you, your pets and property  safe in all aspects of the November 5th celebrations.
Garry Collins Head of Prevention and Protection at Norfolk Fire and Rescue said:
“Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service would like everyone to enjoy the Bonfire night period as safely as possible. Organised events are the best way to watch and enjoy fireworks as they provide controlled displays delivered by people familiar with fireworks in places that are suitable. We encourage people to take advantage of organised events rather than arrange their own at home. Bonfires and fireworks can be exciting, but they can also cause devastating injuries. To make sure your bonfire experience is fun,  our advice is to attend an organised display.â€
