The latest strike action which took place in Norfolk today (Wednesday 13 November) by members of the Fire Brigades Union (FBU) has passed without major incident.
During the four-hour strike (10am-2pm), the fire control room took three calls all of which firefighters attended. Two were automatic fire alarms in the Great Yarmouth area and the third call was to attend persons trapped in a lift in the King’s Lynn area.
Today’s strike action in Norfolk was part of a national strike undertaken by the FBU over changes to the national pension scheme.
