Officers from Dereham Police Station are looking for witnesses to the deliberate ignition of a straw bale stack in Watton.
The incident happened at approximately 7.55pm on Sunday 24 April 2016 at Watton Airfield inÂ Watton where a stack of hay bales, weighing approximately 450 tonnes, has been set alight causing considerable damage.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service attended from Watton and Hingham to extinguish the fire and determined that it was ignited deliberately.Â Subsequent crews from East Harling, Attleborough and Dereham maintained a watching brief throughout the night.
Station Manager Richard Smith said, "Fire can be extremely destructive, not only to peopleâ€™s property, but also to their lives. I would ask that members of the public remain vigilant in reporting fires if they see them and to remember your own personal safety.â€
