Police in South Cumbria have charged a man from Barrow-in-Furness Â following the seizure of heroin worth an estimated street value of Â£8,000.
Ronnie Hill, aged 39 of Gateway, Barrow-in-Furness was charged in connection of being concerned in the supply of heroin.
The drugs were seized from a location on Roose Road, Barrow, on Monday 8thÂ April.
Mr Hill was due to appear before Furness & District Magistrates Court on 10thÂ April 2014.
Detective Constable Nigel Burns, of the South Cumbria Area Drugs Unit, said: â€œThis is the fourth significant seizure of heroin over the last few weeks making a total of Â£25,000. I can reassure people that we are committed not only to tackling the street dealers who operate in this area but also tracing the suppliers further up the chain from Liverpool who are utilising our local dealers for their own benefit. We are continuing with our enquiries and we will bring those involved in the supply of drugs to justice.â€
