Police are currently investigating an assault that took place in Barrow during the early hours of this morning (11 April 2014).
At approximately 1:30 am police were called to Dumfries Street to reports of a man being assaulted. On arrival a man was located with injuries to his head, he was taken to Furness General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Two men, aged Â 39 and 21 from the Barrow area, Â were arrested on suspicion of GBH and continue to help police with their enquiries.
Police appeal for anyone who was in the area of Ramsden Street and Dumfries Street around 1:30 pm this morning, and heard or seen anything suspicious to contact Cumbria Police on 101 and speak to the on-duty Sergeant at Barrow CID.
