Police investigating an attempted robbery on a bus driver in Newcastle have charged a man.
It happened about 9.30pm, on Wednesday, March 12, on an Arriva bus at Walker Road terminus, in Walker, beside Jubilee Social Club.
On Thursday, April 10, police arrested two men aged 24 and 22 on suspicion of attempted robbery.
Martin Moody, 24, of Merton Road in Newcastle, has been charged with attempted robbery and is due to appear at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court today, April 11.
The 22-year-old man has been bailed pending further enquiries.
A third man aged 23 who was previously arrested on Saturday, April 5, in connection with the incident has been released with no further action.
