A man was kicked and punched by robbers who stole a bag of cash.
The 52-year-old victim had arrived at his home in Atherstone Avenue, Netherton, Peterborough, and was getting out his car when one of the men attacked him.
The robber grabbed the bag, which contained takings from a company where the victim works, from the car seat and fled with his accomplice. Both were wearing tracksuits and balaclavas.
They ran off along a nearby cut-through, Knole Walk, which heads towards Peterborough City Hospital.
The victim was not seriously hurt but was left shaken by the attack which happened at about 3.30pm on Saturday (April 5).
The main offender was described as 18 to 25, tanned, 5’6†to 5’8â€, black hair and wore a grey hooded top and bottoms.
His accomplice was similar in appearance but wearing a black hooded top with a white logo on the rear of the hood.
DC Pete Wise, who is investigating, said: “The victim saw the robbers on the other side of the road as he pulled onto his driveway and by the time he was getting out of his car one had attacked him. They then ran off along the cut-through and it is likely members of the public may have seen them fleeing.
“I would appeal to anyone who lives in the area and may have seen the robbers before or after the incident to get in touch.â€
