Police in Telford are appealing for help in tracking down those responsible for an arson attack on a house in the Woodside area.
Sometime between 3.30pm and 3.50pm on Tuesday 15th April 2014 a small air grill near the front door of a new upvc frontage at a terraced house on Wildwood was set alight.
The upvc frontage melted and caused significant damage to the porch. It also posed a risk to other neighbouring properties in the terrace.
Detective Constable Paul Pennell said: “This could have put all of the occupants of the adjoining houses in danger if the fire had spread. Luckily it was quickly brought under control.
“We are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the Wildwood area of Woodside on Tuesday afternoon to contact us.”
If anyone has information they are asked to contact DC Pennell on the non emergency 101 quoting incident number 390s 150414.
Alternatively information can be passed on anonymously by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or completing its online form by logging on to www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
