Officers are appealing for information after a man was attacked and hit in the face with a brick outside a house in Fleetwood, which his attackers then started throwing bricks and stones at.
Between 9:30pm and 9:40pm on Saturday 5 April, an 18-year-old man has been set upon by a number of men, who have repeatedly punched and kicked him in an unprovoked attack outside a house on Manor Road, Fleetwood. The victim’s friends have managed to get him away from the group of men and into the house. However, while escaping from them, one of the attackers has thrown a brick which has hit the victim in the face.
This attack has left the victim with multiple injuries to his face which required hospital treatment.
Following the attack, the attackers have then proceeded to throw bricks and stones at the house, during which one of the house windows has been smashed.
Detective Constable Chris Walsh said, “This was a nasty and completely unprovoked attack, the reasons for which are still unclear.
Fortunately, a CCTV camera nearly by has helped to arrest and charge the offenders. However, we have not been able to identify which of the offenders has done what. In particular, we want to identify which of the offenders has thrown the brick that has hit the victim in the face and which of the offenders has caused the damage to the house window.
Therefore, we would appeal for anyone who was on Manor Road at the time and witnessed this disgraceful attack or anyone with any information that could help us to come forward.â€
