Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Westminster which left a man in a critical condition.
Police were called by London Ambulance Service at approximately 04:20hrs on Saturday, 19 April, to Oxendon Street, SW1 after a man was found with head injuries.
The 24-year-old man was taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
He had been on a night out with family and friends when he was attacked by two men. It is believed he was punched in the head and then kicked in the body before passing out.
Officers from Westminster CID are investigating.
Detective Sergeant Alistair Morrison, said: “This was a particularly violent assault which occurred on a road off of Haymarket. Despite the hour, the area would have been busy with people who had been out in the West End. I would urge anyone who saw the attack to contact police.”
The two men were black, both around 5ft 10ins and athletic build.
Suspect 1 had black hair, an inch long beard and was wearing a smart white shirt.
Suspect 2 had short black hair, brown eyes and short trimmed beard and moustache. He was aged between 24 to 25 and wearing a black coat.
Both were seen turning right at the end of Oxendon Street and heading towards Haymarket.

Enquiries continue. There have been no arrests.
