Murder Charge Following Death of Fleetwood Baby

Detectives yesterday (Wednesday, March 23) charged a man following the death of a baby girl in Fleetwood.
Police were called by the Ambulance Service at around 6.30am on Friday, March 11, after a report that a baby was in a serious condition at an address on Warren Street.
The two-month-old baby girl, Daisy Mae Burrill, was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital having suffered a suspected cardiac arrest. She was later transferred to Manchester Childrenâ€™s Hospital and sadly died on Monday, March 14.

A Home Office post mortem examination revealed she had died from a head injury.
A 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were initially arrested on suspicion of Section 18 â€“ wounding with intent and were bailed pending further enquiries but re-arrested yesterday.
Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, John Burrill, 30, of Gordon Road, Fleetwood, has been charged with murder and remanded to appear at Blackpool Magistrates Court today (Thursday, March 24).
The 29-year-old woman was released no charge
