Detectives at Woodbourne CID are investigating an armed robbery at a shopping centre in Andersonstown yesterday.
At aroundÂ 3pm a male entered a currency exchange business inÂ Avoca Park. HeÂ threatenedÂ a female employee withÂ a handgunÂ demanding money.
The robberÂ forced the employee to open the till and hand over a large sum of cash which he placedÂ in aÂ bag before making off.
The culprit is described as being in his 40s or 50sÂ andÂ approximately 5′ 7″ tall.
It’s believed this male may have been dressed as a painter wearing white overalls, a dust mask and carrying a tin of paint.
Anyone who was in the area and who witnessed the robbery or who can identify the male involved is asked to contact police on the new non-emergency number 101.
