A 31-year-old man is to appear before court this morning (Friday 16 May) charged with drug offences after police recovered approximately Â£1m worth of heroin from a car after it was stopped on the M6 motorway last night.
David Partington, a joiner, from Bury in Lancashire, will appear before Walsall Magistrates Court this morning charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Officers from CMPG stopped a black Range Rover on the M6 northbound at junction 10, near Walsall at 11.55pm last night.
The vehicle was searched and aroundÂ 10kg of Heroin, worth approximately Â£1 million was recovered.
A 24-year-old woman from Manchester was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply and has been bailed while enquiries continue.
