|Merseyside Police can confirm that a man has been charged with being in possession of a firearm following the discovery of a firearm on Gorsey Lane, Litherland on Saturday, 31 May.
Christopher Armstrong, 24 years, of Maple Close, Seaforth has been charged with being in possession of a firearm and will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, 16 June
Detective Chief Inspector Gayle Rooney, said: “Merseyside Police remains absolutely committed to tackling gun crime and we will be relentless in our pursuit of those involved in it.
“This is another firearm removed from the streets of Merseyside and I hope it provides some reassurance to the community of our determination to tackle this issue.
