Detectives investigating a robbery at the One Stop Shop in Cheshunt are appealing for witnesses and information.
The incident happened around 10.35pm on Sunday, June 15 at the store in Cheshunt High Road. A man with his face covered entered the premises whilst another man, also with his face covered, waited by the door preventing customers from entering. The man inside the shop threatened members of staff with a knife and forced them to hand over money from the till, however no one was injured during the incident. Both men then fled.
Detective Constable Donald Ayriss is investigating and said: “I would like to appeal for any witnesses who may have seen two men running in the area around the time of the offence, or who may have tried to get into the store and have found their way blocked. We are particularly eager to speak to a witness who was outside the shop at the time of the incident who may be able to help with the investigation.â€
Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact DC Ayriss via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, citing crime reference K2/14/2054. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
