Detectives have released CCTV of a brazen thief who has stolen from the same Coventry restaurant three times in a month.
The opportunist first struck in the early hours of Saturday 12 April when he got in through the rear fire door of the Red Panda restaurant on Market Way in the city centre. He helped himself to a laptop along with bottles of wine and spirits.
Two weeks later around the same time on Sunday 27 April the thief struck again, helping himself to more wine and spirits and another laptop. This time he also took keys to the owner’s Range Rover, from which he took a small quantity of cash.
The thief returned a final time between 9.30 and 10.30pm on Friday 2 May and, already in possession of the Range Rover’s keys, drove it away.
Investigating officer DS Rod Twist said: “We have examined the CCTV from all three thefts and have drawn the conclusion that the same man is responsible for all of them.
“I would like to hear from anyone who recognises the man in the images or from anyone who knows of anyone acquiring a grey Range Rover Evoque under suspicious circumstances.”
DS Twist can be contacted on 101 or alternatively information can be given to Crimestoppers anonymously on0800 555 111.
