Police investigating distraction burglaries have charged a man and woman with three offences.
Jozsef Forgas, 38, and Otilia Horvathne Domotor, 34, both of Ladybank at Chapel House have both been charged with burglaries at Moorfield in South Gosforth, Broomyhill Road in Throckley, and Stamfordham Road.
Seven other offences will also be taken into consideration by the court.
They were arrested after an investigation into reports of distraction burglaries in Newcastle. They were both due to appear at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court this morning, Tuesday, June 18.
The charges come during Northumbria Police’s Operation Soundwave, aimed at tackling opportunist theft and burglary across the force and promoting crime prevention advice.
