This is an update in relation to Operation Sanctuary.
Police have made three further charges as part of the operation.
- Arkan Faidolla Hosen, 41, of Derby Street, Sunderland, who has been charged with conspiracy to supply heroin, cannabis, and mephadrone and possessing a prohibited weapon.
- Jordan Graham, 23, of Robert Street, Sunderland, who has been charged with conspiracy to supply heroin, cannabis and mephadrone.
- Kyle Louis Levitt, 25, of Hall Farm Road, Sunderland, has been charged with conspiracy to supply and possession of mephadrone.
All three have been remanded in custody to appear before Newcastle Crown Court at a later date.
These bring the charges total to 18. The total number of people arrested stands at 110.
One person has been reported for summons in relation to a sexual assault.
One person has appeared at court and the case has been finalised.
Officers continue to work with partners to speak to all the complainants to establish the circumstances and provide appropriate support.
