At approximately 01:10hrs this morning, Thursday, 31 July, officers from Kensington and Chelsea Borough approached a parked car – that was believed to be stolen – on Dalgarno Gardens, W10.As the constables were speaking with the driver, he reversed at speed colliding with the officers.The male officers suffered minor injuries. They did not require hospital treatment.While fleeing the scene, the suspect collided with five parked cars. The suspect and car remain outstanding.The suspect is described as black, aged in his early 20s and of slim build. He was wearing a dark hooded top.The car is a black BMW Z4 with the registration LS14 ZRO. It sustained a lot of damage from the collisions and is missing the passenger door .Chief Superintendent Ellie O’Connor, Borough commander for Kensington and Chelsea, said: “Thankfully, although shaken, neither officer was seriously injured. This incident illustrates the danger officers can face while performing what are seemingly routine inquiries.“I would urge anyone with information about the driver, or who has seen the car, to contact police.”Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101.
