A man in his 70s was robbed outside a pub in Moston
At around 3.15pm on Sunday 14 September 2014, a 71-year-old man went into the Bluebell pub on Moston Lane for a drink.
While at the bar a man asked him to come outside. Once outside the offender demanded cash from him, which he refused.
The offender pushed the victim into an alcove and punched him repeatedly. The victim then took Â£20 from his pocket which the offender snatched from him. He ran off along Moston Lane towards Rochdale Road.
The man suffered two fractured cheekbones and bruising to his face.
A 46-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and remains in police custody for questioning.
Police are appealing for information and witnesses.
Detective Sergeant Alex Wild said: â€œWe are keen to speak to anyone who was in the Bluebell pub at the time of the robbery who may have seen the two men in the pub and go outside. If anyone has any information about what happened I would ask that they call us.â€
