Police are appealing for information after a sit on grass mower was stolen from Mill Hill Football Club.
Between 10.30pm on Monday 15 September and 12.30am on Tuesday 16 September, it is believed that the offenders approached the football club on Stancliffe Industrial Estate in Blackburn and cut the padlock on the main gates. They then broke into a garage on the premises and stole the sit on grass mower and a strimmer from inside.
The offenders were later captured on CCTV loading the mower into the rear of a white transit van with a black rim around the bottom which was parked outside the gates. The van is then seen leaving in the direction of Ewood.
One of the offenders is described as a white male, approximately 170cm tall with short dark brown hair and was wearing a light coloured long sleeved top and dark trousers at the time.
A second offender is described as a white male, approximately 185cm, medium build with short dark brown hair and was wearing a light coloured top and dark trousers at the time.
The stolen mower is a green and yellow John Deere tractor sit on grass mower with and is worth approximately £2600. The mower’s identification number is IGXX125BLCD040824 and it was stolen without keys.
PC Lisa Scorah of Blackburn Police said: “The stolen mower was funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Community Action Fund in November last year and the club is used by a number of different football teams in the local community who have all been affected by this theft.
“I would urge anyone who has any information about this incident to contact us on 101 quoting crime reference number EA1418790.â€
