Detectives from Trident Gang Crime Command have today, 26 September, charged two men in connection with firearms offences following a proactive operation yesterday in north-west London.
Suhaib Majeed, 20 (12.04.94), of Cherwell House, NW8 and Â Momem Motasim, 21 (10.09.93), of Reading House, Hallfield Estate, W2 have been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of a section 5 firearm and possession of section 1 ammunition, following a proactive operation by Trident detectives. They have appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court this morning and have been remanded in custody to appear at Southwark Crown Court on 10 October 2014.
A 51-year-old man Â arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of a firearm has been bailed until early December pending further enquiries.
Two other men and , both aged 24, were arrested for conspiracy to possess a firearm. Both men remain in custody at a central London police station.
In a related operation, Trident officers executed a warrant at an address in Dartmouth Close, W11 this morning. A 25-year-old man [F] was arrested for conspiracy to possess a firearm. He remains in custody at a central London police station.
