Merseyside Police can confirm a 46-year-old man has this morning (Friday, 3 October) been charged with the murders of Paul and Dorothy Brown.
Police were called at approximately 10.40am on Friday, 19 September from a member of the public concerned for the safety of a man and woman inside a property on Huskisson Street.
Officers attended and forced entry to the property. Unfortunately the residents, 73-year-old Paul Brown and 66-year-old Dorothy Brown, were found dead inside.
Post-mortems revealed that they both died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
Timothy Brown, 46, of Devonshire Road, Toxteth was arrested in connection with the incident and has today been charged with two counts of murder.
Brown will appear before a magistrate sitting at Liverpool Crown Court this morning.
