Police are no longer treating the death of a woman in Salterforth as suspicious.
Officers were called at shortly after 8am on Friday, October 10th to a report of the sudden death of a woman on a canal barge at Salterforth, near to the Anchor Inn.
A post mortem examination carried out on Victoria Lobley, 47 years, was inconclusive in revealing an exact cause of death but there was no evidence of any violence. It is believed at this stage that she died from a medical condition.
A 64 year old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
