Detectives investigating the murder of 25-year-old Ashley Latty in Dagenham on 24 May 2014 have today, Wednesday, 15 October, charged two more people.
Jerome Mcleish [F], 22 (9.11.91) of E16 and Howard Fender [L], 26 (15.12.87), of Romford, appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on bail on Tuesday, 28 October charged with assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice.
Damien Carnigie [M], (5.3.85) of Union Close, E11 appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, 15 October charged with murder.
Five other men await trial, scheduled for 23 February 2015, for Ashley’s murder:
Nana Oppong, 34 (28.5.80) of no fixed abode;
Kestrel Daniel Dyer, 25 (18.4.89) of Barking;
Daniel Agyeman, 24 (22.07.90) of Thornton Heath;
Nicholas Terralonge, 28 (02.08.86) of Leytonstone E11;
Jerome Joseph, 27 (25/11/86) of Manor Park Road, E12;
Also appearing alongside the men is Aimee Penfold, 24 (14/10/89) of Croydon, charged with assisting an offender.
A 28-year-old man [K] man arrested on suspicion of murder remains on bail until a date in early November.
Adam Penny, 23 (15.4.91) of Whitechapel, had been charged with the murder but did not appear for a plea and case management hearing after no further action was taken against him.
Three other men [A, B, and D] who were also arrested in connection with the murder were also released with no further action.
