A man has been charged following an investigation by officers from GMPâ€™s Fraud Unit.
On Thursday 18th July 2013, officers executed two search warrants; one at a solicitors practice on Wilmslow Road, Cheadle and another at an address on Brooklyn Crescent, Cheadle.
The investigation was in relation to allegations of misappropriation of clientsâ€™ funds.
Andrew John Taylor (dob 13/5/57), of Brooklyn Crescent, Cheadle – a practising solicitor – has been charged with 14 counts of fraud by abuse of a position of trust in relation to 13 elderly clients who Andrew Taylor held Power of Attorney for.
He is due to appear at Stockport magistratesâ€™ court on Monday 27 October 2014.
The charges relate to the theft of Â£623,920.00.
