Police are appealing for information and witnesses to come forward following a fatal road traffic collision in Abbey Wood.
Police were called to Eynsham Drive, Abbey Wood, at approximately 17:10hrs on Friday, 31 October, to reports of a double decker bus in collision with a male pedestrian.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. The pedestrian, a 16-year-old boy, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Next of kin have been informed, however officers await formal identification. A post-mortem examination was held on Tuesday 4 November and gave the cause of death as multiple injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Charlie Dell Edge, 16, of Herne Bay, Kent.
The driver of the bus stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Catford are investigating.
Enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
Detective Sergeant Richard Budd is leading the investigation. He said: “A teenage boy has died in tragic circumstances. We are keen to hear from anyone who was in and around the area and witnessed events leading up to and during the fatal collision.
