Police investigating a theft of cashback from a supermarket in Newcastle have released CCTV of a woman they need to speak to.
It happened on Sunday, October 19 at Asda in Lemington, when cashback accidentally left behind at a self service till was stolen. Police investigating have released a CCTV image of a woman they need to speak to who may be able to help with their enquiries.
Anyone who recognises her is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference 716 19/10/14, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
The appeal comes during Northumbria Police’s Operation Soundwave, aimed at tackling thieves and burglars across the force and promoting crime prevention advice.
People are reminded to ensure they take a few moments to ensure they have all of their belongings when leaving self service till areas, including shopping, bags, change and any requested cashback.
