Police in Cardiff are investigating the theft of a large quantity of medical equipment from a car parked overnight outside a house on Enbourne Dive in Pontprennau.Â The theft happened sometime between 10.00pm on Sunday 9th November and 7.00am the following morning.
The medical equipment consisted of surgical implant medical devices which are of no use other than that for which they were designed and manufactured and to the culprit it would just appear to be a lot of electronic equipment.
In addition, three laptops were stolen two of which are ASUS make.Â A lot of the stolen items will feature the company name or logo of Boston Scientific.
Police constable Huw Thomas said: â€œThe stolen property consists of a lot of high value medical implants which are for a specific medical use.Â This theft will not benefit the thief at all but could have a detrimental effect on prospective patients.
â€œWe are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area on Sunday night to contact us.â€
