Detectives from Hounslow have released CCTV footage of a knife-point robber who police believe has struck for the third time.
On all three occasions the suspect has threatened the victims with a knife and then demanded money.
The first offence happened on Thursday, 30 October, at 18:10hrs at a barbers shop in Vicarage Farm Road, Hounslow. The 27-year-old victim was cutting the hair of a customer when the suspect walked in. He put a knife with a 12 inch blade to his throat and demanded his wallet.
The victim threw his wallet on the floor. The suspect grabbed it and walked off up the A4 towards the nearby BP Garage. He then turned into Kingswood Avenue.
Police are linking this offence to an incident that happened on Wednesday, 5 November, at 14:25hrs. The suspect targeted a 57-year-old male victim who was working in a newsagents in Crossways, Hounslow.
The suspect came into the shop and held a knife to the victim’s throat and demanded he open the cash till. He then began to fill a white cloth bag with money, as well as grabbing a quantity of cigarettes. As he was filling the bag the victim managed to activate the panic alarm. The suspect then ran from the shop down Sutton Way.
The latest offence happened on Sunday, 9 November, at 18:00 hrs. This crime again targeted the newsagents in Crossways, Hounslow. Again the suspect entered the shop and produced a knife. He stole money and cigarettes, which he placed in a blue bag. He then left the store.
The suspect is an Asian male, aged between 20 and 25 years-old. He is about 6ft tall and was wearing a black hooded jumper, black jogging bottoms, black knitted gloves and black trainers with red laces.
Footage is from the November 5 incident and shows the suspect walking towards the victim behind the shop counter and holding the knife to his neck from behind. He then empties the tills of money and steals items on display.
Detective Constable David Ward, from Hounslow CID, said: “It is imperative that we find this man before he commits further offences and endangers even more innocent people. We have a very good image of the suspect and we are sure that someone will recognise him.
“We believe this is the third knife-point robbery this suspect has committed in a short space of time. We really need help from the public to identify this man. Your information could vital and could stop someone being seriously harmed.”
