A woman has been given a suspended sentence for biting a paramedic during a One Direction concert.
Kerry Anne Wilde, aged 27, of Baslow Close, Derbyshire, admitted assault at Manchester Magistrates Court.
On Monday 1 December 2014, she was given a 12 week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and was ordered to pay the victim £200 compensation as well as other costs and ordered to carry out unpaid work.
On Friday 30 May 2014, Wilde took her daughter to watch One Direction at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
During the concert she fell and banged her head.
As paramedics attempted to help her she bit one on the shoulder and had to be restrained.
Detective Constable Dave Berry, said: ““I hope this incident has acted as a sobering warning for Wilde, who not only failed  in her duty as a role model in front of her daughter, but who inexcusably bit a paramedic who was just trying to help her.
“The NHS takes a zero tolerance approach to abuse and assaults on its staff, a stance fully supported by the police and we will work with all partners to ensure anyone who attacks members of the emergency services is brought to justice.â€
