ElevenÂ teenagers have been charged in connection with two incidents in Luton.
Two 19-year-old men and three 17-year-old boys have been charged with violent disorder following the stabbing of a man in Lower Wellington Street at about 12.45pm on Tuesday (December 2).
The victim, an 18-year-old man, suffered serious, but not life-threatening, injuries and is recovering in hospital.
Khia Yearwood-May, 19, of Arrow Close, Luton; Derrick Clarke, 19, of Fendon Drive, Luton, and three 17-year-old boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear at Luton Magistratesâ€™ Court today (Thursday).
Six teenagers were then arrested following a separate incident in Round Green at about 9pm on Tuesday (December 2) Rakeem Smith, 18, of Dunstable Road, Luton; Juarae Walker, 18, of Denham Close, Luton; Jordan Weedon, 18, of Denham Close, Luton; Ryan McEvoy, 18, of Waleys Close, Luton, and two 16-year-old boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have all been charged with aggravated burglary.
All six will appear at Luton Magistratesâ€™ Court today.
Detective Inspector Sean Quinn said: â€œWe will not tolerate such violent incidents and will act quickly to identify, arrest and prosecute anyone we suspect of being involved.â€
