A man has been charged with ten counts of theft and one count of fraud after ornaments were stolen from memorials at Bushbury Crematorium.
Dennis Palmer was charged in connection with the thefts, which happened between 20 December 2013 and 7 December 2014.
The fraud charge is in relation to an allegation he attempted to sell the stolen ornaments while stating they belonged to him.
The 47-year-old of Victoria Road, Park Village, appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court yesterday (22 December), where he was released on court bail.
PC Paul Johnson from the Low Hill Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We fully understand the impact these thefts have had on the local community and I would like to thank all those who came forward to identify suspected stolen items following a recent appeal in the media.”
