Police investigating a theft of a bike in Newcastle have released CCTV of a man they need to speak to.
It happened on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 19, when a pink mountain bike was stolen from the street at West Road. Police investigating have released CCTV images of a man they need to speak to who may be able to help with their enquiries into the theft.
Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference 627 19/11/14, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
The appeal comes during Northumbria Police’s Operation Soundwave, aimed at tackling suspected thieves and burglars and promoting crime prevention advice.
Cyclists are reminded to make sure their bike is secure at all times, even if only leaving it for a short time, using a sturdy ‘D-lock’ or a combination of locks.
