The family of a woman who was murdered in her Stockport home have paid tribute to her.
At around 6.40pm on Friday 16th January 2015, police were called to an address on Meadway Road, Stockport following a report of concern for welfare.
Officers attended and during a search of the house found the body of 46-year-old Yvonne Davies, who had been stabbed to death.
In a tribute, Yvonne’s family, said: “Our family would like to say that we are heartbroken by the loss of our beautiful sister and daughter.
“Yvonne was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend.
“She had a successful career, but still managed to be a devoted mother who raised an amazing, beautiful daughter who is an absolute credit to both her parents.
“Our family are devastated by the sudden and terrible way Yvonne has been taken from us and we will all miss her terribly.
“As a family we now have to concentrate on looking after her daughter and helping her to come to terms with what has happened.”
Yvonne’s husband, Andrew Davies, 45, was also found dead at the house. He died of asphyxiation due to hanging.
