Cheshire Police have released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to in relation to a distraction burglary in Congleton.
The incident is believed to have taken place between 3.00pm and 4.00pm on Wednesday 7 January 2015, at an address in the Lower Heath area of Congleton.
During the incident a smartly dressed man called at the house of an elderly resident claiming to be a BT engineer. The man claimed he required access to the property to check the telephone line, he then pushed passed the occupant and stole her handbag.
DC Liz Rankin said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who has any information on this incident to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 307 of 8/1/2015.”
