A man wanted for questioning about a number of thefts from sports clubs and school changing rooms in Bath and across Avon and Somerset has been arrested.
Alan Philip, 62, who also uses the name Anthony Tye, was arrested on January 14 in Brighton by Sussex police on suspicion of an identical offence. He has been charged with stealing a bag of personal belongings from visiting rugby players at Hove recreation Ground on Sunday January 11.He has also been charged with burglary with intent to steal at Monmouth School sports pavilion on June 19, 2014.
He is currently on remand at HMP Lewes where he has been interviewed by Avon and Somerset detectives. He has been charged to appear at Bristol Magistratesâ€™ Court on February 2.
He is due for sentencing at Lewes Crown Court on February 13.
