On 4 February 2015 Colin Dickinson aged 48 of Watergate Street, Chester was sentenced to 2 years in prison for assaulting a police officer and CCTV operator.
Dickinson seriously assaulted the officer on Princess Street in Chester on 15 December 2014, leaving him with facial injuries. He then assaulted the CCTV operator who came out to help the officer.
Chief Inspector Derek Lockie Divisional Commander for the Chester area said; “This man has subjected an officer to a particularly nasty and violent assault and then gone on to attack another man who had gone to his aid.
“Whilst incidents such as this are rare in Chester any assault is taken seriously by Cheshire Police and we will not tolerate attacks on members of the public or police officers anywhere in Cheshire.”
