A man has been arrested following a drugs warrant in Tameside.
Today, Tuesday 10 February 2015, officers from the Tameside Organised Crime Team executed the warrant at a house on Dawlish Close in Hattersley.
Once inside, police discovered cannabis with the estimated street value of £1000, £500 worth of amphetamine and two air rifles.
A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis and possession with intent to supply amphetamine and remains in custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Andy Sandiford said: “We are committed to ridding the streets of drugs and making our communities safer places to live and work in.  Our officers do a lot of work behind the scenes but it is also important residents call us to let us know where drugs are being dealt or produced.  Together, we can take on those who are intent on spreading misery and bring them to justice.â€
