A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in Hillingdon.
Police were called at approximately 05:10hrs this morning, Saturday, 7 March, following reports of a woman suffering stab injuries at a residential address on Pinkwell Lane.
Officers, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended. The 25-year-old woman was taken to a north London hospital where she was pronounced dead at 06:24hrs.
Next of kin have been informed. We await formal identification.
A post-mortem examination is underway at Uxbridge Mortuary.
A 22-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder – he remains in custody.
Detectives are not looking for anyone else in relation to the investigation.
An incident room has opened under Detective Chief Inspector Andy Chalmers of the Homicide and Major Crime Command.
