A teenage boy who attacked a 17-year-old boy outside a Gorton convenience store has today been jailed.
The 17-year-old boy, from Manchester, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has today – Friday 20 March 2015 – been sentenced to 8 months in a juvenile detention centre for the manslaughter of Jordan Brennan at Manchester Crown Court, Crown Square.
At around 7.30pm on Friday, 10 October 2014, Jordan was with two friends when they went into a shop on Hyde Road, Gorton.
A few minutes later his assailant walked into the shop in company with a girl.
They walked round the store, picked up some items and joined the queue.
The then 16-year-old boy took exception to something that Jordan said.
Jordan and one of his friends then started to leave the store.
