A 23-year-old man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for a robbery at a family home in Reading.
Simeon Maraj-Bennett of Northumberland Avenue was found guilty of the charge of robbery on 10 February at Reading Crown Court after a nine-day trial.
He was sentenced to 12 years in prison at the same court yesterday (20/3).
The charge relates to an incident on 31 March 2014 in Cresswell Close, Reading.
At around 1am a family, a woman in her forties and her sons, were at their home in Cresswell Close, when three men broke in by smashing the rear patio door.
One of her sons, aged in his twenties, was hit by a baseball bat.
