At 3.26pm on Wednesday 25 March 2015, police found the body of 41-year-old Sarah Pollock in her flat in Avon Close in the Springbourne area after concerns were raised that she had not arrived at work as expected.
On Friday, a post mortem found she had died due to strangulation and stab wounds to the neck.
She was formally identified by family members, who are being supported by police family liaison officers.
Today (Sunday 29 March) 52-year-old builder Colin Dymond from Bournemouth, who was known to the victim, was charged with her murder.
He will appear before Bournemouth Magistratesâ€™ Court on Monday 30 March 2015.
