A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a death in East Ham.
Police were called by London Ambulance Service at around 19:20hrs on Saturday, 28 March, to a report of a seriously injured man at a house in Compton Avenue, E6.
A man, believed to be aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Enquiries continue to establish his identity.
A post-mortem examination will be held on Monday, 30 March, at East Ham Mortuary.
Officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command based at Barking are investigating.
Detectives believe the man died following a fight at the house that evening.
A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested at the scene.
He has been taken to an east London police station where he remains in custody.
Both the deceased and the man arrested are understood to be Eastern European and are known to each other....
