A 17-year-old boy from E9 was yesterday, Wednesday, 1 April, been sentenced to six years imprisonment for manslaughter.
Jahki Crosdale, 17 (28.10.97) was found guilty of manslaughter through provocation at the Old Bailey following the death of 19-year-old Charlie Burns in Homerton last August.
Officers were called by London Ambulance Service at 16:00hrs on 18 August 2014 to reports of a stabbing in Frampton Park Road, E9.
Police attending found Charlie Burns suffering from multiple stab wounds.
He was treated at the scene and subsequently taken to an east London hospital where he was pronounced dead at 17:38hrs.
A post-mortem examination at Poplar Mortuary on 20 August 2014 gave the cause of death as stab wounds to the chest.
Ashan Crosdale, then 19, was arrested on suspicion of murder on 19 August 2014 and was charged with murder on 21 August 2014.
